Caryn J. Krooth - Jeffery R. Gardiner

Carol A. Gardiner of Hilton is pleased to announce the engagement of her son Jeff to Caryn Krooth. Caryn is the daughter of Carole Krooth and John and Nancy Krooth of Washington, D.C.

Jeff is a 1991 graduate of Hilton High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree in English from SUNY Oswego and his master’s degree in information technology at The American Intercontinental University in Los Angeles, California. He is a web designer for Vans, Inc. in California.

Caryn earned her bachelor of science degree in philosophy at the University of Michigan. She worked as a model in Paris and is now a film director in Hollywood.

An October 2001 wedding is planned in Bel Air, California.

Kerri A. Johnson - Emilio B. Scoccia

Ralph and Patricia Johnson of Hilton are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Kerri Anne to Emilio B. Scoccia. Emilio is the son of Bruno and Adele Scoccia of Spencerport.

Kerri received an associate’s degree in visual communications/graphic design from Monroe Community College and a bachelor’s degree in printing management and technology from Rochester Institute of Technology. She is a specification sales representative at Comtex Papers, a division of Hudson Valley Paper Company.

Emilio received an associate’s degree in business administration from Monroe Community College. He is a sales representative for Paychex, Inc.

Their wedding is planned for September 14, 2002.

Kristina M. Klafehn - Michael S. Duckman

Karen and Richard Wright of Churchville and David and Diane Klafehn of Spencerport are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Kristina M. Klafehn to Michael S. Duckman. Michael is the son of Cheryl and Sanford Duckman, formerly of Rochester.

Kristina received an associate’s degree from Monroe Community College and is continuing her education at Florida Atlantic University with a major in counselor education. She is also employed in the corporate human resources department at MCI World Com.

Michael received a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Brockport and continued his studies at St. Thomas School of Law in Miami, Florida. He is employed in management at K-Mart.

The couple resides in Boynton Beach, Florida and are planning a March 2003 wedding.

Hyacinth G. Hoey - Kurtis A. Goltermann

Hyacinth G. Hoey, daughter of Michael and Rosemary Hoey of Leicester, New York, and Kurtis A. Goltermann, son of Ronald and Laurie Goltermann of Hamlin, are happy to announce their engagement.

Hyacinth, a 1998 graduate of York High School, will graduate from SUNY Brockport in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Kurtis, a 1997 graduate of Brockport High School, will also graduate from SUNY Brockport in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in nursing.

An August 2002 wedding is planned.

Derrick - Whitmore

Christina L. Derrick and Capt. Paul H. Whitmore were married August 5, 2001 in Lee Chapel, George Washington and Lee University, Lexington, Virginia.

The bride is the daughter of Grover L. and Nancy E. Derrick of Wetumpka, Alabama. The groom is the son of Donald H. and Mary C. Whitmore of Hilton.

Heidi Murray was matron of honor. The other attendants were Donna Derrick and Shelby Derrick, the flower girl.

The best man was Joseph Doyle. Groomsman was Gary Gulliksen.

The bride attended Auburn University at Montgomery, Alabama. She is employed as an insurance specialist for the Pikes Peak Anesthesia Associates.

Captain Whitmore is a 1990 graduate of Hilton High School and the Virginia Military Institute. He is stationed at Shreiver Air Force Base, Colorado.

The couple honeymooned in Virginia before traveling to Colorado Springs, where they now reside.
