Weddings for March 2006


Marple - Hall

Erin A. Marple and Bradley Hall were united in marriage Sunday, May 29, 2005 at Sonnenburg Gardens, Canandaigua.

The bride is the daughter of Kay E. and Craig W. Marple of Spencerport. The groom is the son of Kathy and Robert Hall of Greece.

Karen Maier served as matron of honor and the bride's sister, Katlyn, was maid of honor. Other bridesmaids were Keri Hall, Jennifer Belec and Jennifer Conti.

The groom's brother, Cory Hall, was the best man. Groomsmen were Justin Marple, Ross Marple, Bryan Goss and Michael Hilburger.

Erin is a 1997 graduate of E.J. Wilson High School, Spencerport and a May 2005 graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology with a bachelor of science degree in diagnostic imaging/sonography. She is employed at Ide Imaging in Brighton.

Brad is a 1998 graduate of Bishop Kearney High School and attended Rochester Institute of Technology. He is employed as a carpenter with Bill McMahon Construction of Canandaigua.

The couple honeymooned in St. Lucia. They reside in Clifton Springs, New York.


Amber Lehman - Michael Wheelhouse

Amber Lehman and Michael Wheelhouse are happy to announce their engagement.

Amber is the daughter of Julie and David Ciarvella of Churchville. Michael is the son of Michael and Bonnie Wheelhouse of New Brunswick, Canada.

The bride-to-be is a senior at Houghton College, majoring in math and education. The future groom attends Roberts Wesleyan College, enrolled in the master's of education program.

Their wedding is planned for October 7, 2006.


Male - Hasseler

Jolene C. Male and Terrence Hasseler were united in marriage October 8, 2005 at Deerfield Country Club.

The bride is the daughter of Robert and Carol Male of Spencerport. The groom is the son of Russell and Christine Hasseler of Newark.

Honor attendants for the couple were Barbara Stork and Steven Hasseler.

The bride is a graduate of SUNY Morrisville, with a bachelor's degree in equine science and management. She is employed in the bakery at Wegmans and teaches horseback riding at Stable 54.

The groom attended Rochester Institute of Technology and received a bachelor's degree in business administration from SUNY Buffalo. He is a governmental accountant for Raymond Wager, CPA.

The couple honeymooned in Hawaii.


Hicks - Hage

Robert and Mary Hicks of Wellesley, Massachusetts announce the engagement of their daughter Liane to Steve Hage, son of George and Pamela Hage of Brockport.

Liane graduated from Wellesley High School in 1995 and from American University in 1999 with a bachelor of arts degree in law and society. She worked at Cooley, Manion, Jones LLP in Boston and taught English at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poland before earning a master's degree in elementary education from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, in 2005. She teaches sixth grade in the Ashland school system and resides in Framingham, Massachusetts.

Steve graduated from Brockport High School in 1994 and from American University in 1998 with a bachelor of arts degree in political science and international studies. He worked in Washington, D.C., at Intermedia Survey Institute before receiving his master's degree in education from Boston University. He taught history at Newton South High School before going into business as the president of State Contract Carpet Company. He also resides in Framingham.

A July 2006 wedding is planned.


Heather Burden - Stephen Peckham

Mr. and Mrs. Bill Burden of Shelton, Connecticut announce the engagement of their daughter Dr. Heather E. Burden to Stephen D. Peckham, son of Dan and Peg Peckham of Hamlin.

Heather and Stephen are graduates of Boston University where Stephen also received a master's degree in computer science. Heather received a doctorate in microbiology and molecular genetics from Rutgers University in New Jersey and completed postdoctoral training in Bioinformatics at Boston University. Heather is employed at Agencourt Bioscience as a bioinformatics scientist in Beverly, Massachusetts. Stephen is a software engineer at Lockheed Martin in Burlington, Massachusetts.

A May 2006 wedding is planned.


Ford - McClean

Carrie J. Ford and Joshua J. McClean were married June 4, 2005 at Castle Hayne, North Carolina.

Carrie is the daughter of Ronald and Barbara Ford of Brockport. Joshua is the son of Tracey Lane, also of Brockport.

Maid of honor was Christine Donk and best man was Todd Ford.

Carrie is manager of fine jewelry at Hechts department store, Wilmington, North Carolina.

Joshua is employed by Britt Motorsports, Wilmington.

The couple will be residing in Leland, North Carolina.


Tonya Kaprian - Eric Pisher

Maggie (Doug) Wells of Bowling Green, Kentucky and Steve (Lynn) Pisher of Rochester announce the engagement of their son Eric R. Pisher, formerly of Spencerport, to Tonya Kaprian, daughter of Mikhail and Victoria Kaprian of Bowling Green, Kentucky. Eric is the grandson of Donald and Ellen Pisher of Spencerport and John and Martha Downs of Kendall.

Eric is a 2004 graduate of Greenwood High School, Bowling Green, Kentucky and is employed at Sam's Club in Bowling Green.

Tonya is a 2004 graduate of Warren Central High School, Bowling Green and is studying to become a nurse at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green. She is also employed at Sam's Club.

A June 2006 wedding is planned.


Rahn - Short

Tracy Rahn and Christopher Short were married in a candlelight ceremony at the Plantation Party House, Spencerport, on December 16, 2005.

Tracy is the daughter of Ron and Charlotte Rahn of Ogden. Christopher is the son of Janice and Charles Short of Lawrenceville, Georgia.

The maid of honor was Tammy Rahn and the matron of honor was Brett D'Amore. John Kramer and Jerry Rolison were best men.

Tracy is a teacher at Hillside Children's Center, Rochester. Christopher is an information analyst at the University of Rochester.

The newlyweds reside in Irondequoit.


Black - Valet

Amy S. Black and Robert S. Valet were married April 23, 2005 at Christ Presbyterian Church, Nashville, Tennessee.

The bride is the daughter of John and Susanne Black of Nashville. The groom is the son of Dr. Scott and Sharon Valet of Brockport.

Abigail Neff was the matron of honor and Emmy Valet was a bridesmaid. Steve Faux, John Genthner, Jim Bogdanowicz and David Black were among the groomsmen.

Amy, a 1998 graduate of Christ Presbyterian Academy, Nashville, received a bachelor of science degree in biology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2002. She will graduate from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in May 2006.

Robert is a 1997 graduate of Brockport High School and a 2001 graduate of Dartmouth College with a bachelor of arts degree in biology. He received his M.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 2005 and is an internal medicine resident at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

The couple honeymooned in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida and Switzerland. They reside in Nashville.
