Toy collection for "Toys for Tots Foundation" featured at doll hospital's upcoming 40th anniversary open house

The Chili Doll Hospital & Victorian Doll Museum in North Chili, will have an Open House on Saturday, November 3 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in celebration of their 40th Anniversary.

Linda Greenfield, business owner, says she wishes to give back to her community, in particular by helping children. The Open House will feature a toy collection for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys For Tots Foundation for Rochester.

A Marine representing this foundation will be present during the celebration, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Bring a new, unwrapped doll or toy to place in the collection box, which will be located inside the Doll Shop. Anyone unable to attend the Open House can still donate because the collection box will remain at the store until December 15.

The toys collected will be given as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community.

The Doll Museum's admission will be free that day to every person bringing a new toy for the collection box. Plus, any monetary admissions collected that day will be donated to the foundation.

Ann Leach, Chili Town Historian, will be another guest and will be on hand from noon to 4 p.m. to help this history minded Chili business celebrate this milestone.

A special treat, made by Sweetie Pies Bakery of North Chili, will be given out while supplies last. There will also be a free contest and door prize drawings.

Stop in, bring a new toy, and wish Linda and her family a "Happy Anniversary," at 4332 Buffalo Road, North Chili.
