Salmon Creek Nursery is a family-owned and operated garden center/growing facility that has been serving the Rochester area for 40 years. As a service to the community, they conduct free tours of the nursery for organizations. These tours are designed to serve as a learning tool, to help inform children and adults of the importance of plants and their impact on our everyday lives.

On Thursday, May 13, Westridge Elementary School of the Greece Central school district toured Salmon Creek Nursery. The children participated in seed planting and tree planting. They learned about plant propagation and the relationship between plants and insects and their importance to our environment.
