On May 1 Heidi Ann Mueller, LMT, opened Exhale Massage Therapy inside Cutters Hair Salon, 2139 North Union Street, Barefoot Landing, Spencerport. You might remember Heidi from Auntie Heidi's Bakery, the bake shop she owned and operated until 2003. The bakery was also located in Barefoot Landing.
"My goal is to have a rewarding career that helps people. It makes me feel better to help others feel better," Heidi said. She studied Massage Therapy at Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage located in Rochester at Village Gate. It was intensive training with 1,000 hours required to become fully licensed. Massage therapy has proven mental and physical health benefits including relaxation, tension and stress relief, pain management and also provides relief from many medical conditions including carpal tunnel, back pain and headaches. Heidi specializes in Swedish, Deep Tissue and Pain Management massage. Chair massage is also available upon request. Exhale Massage Therapy is open 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday.
