Canaltown Paddlesports opened on May 5 for weekends and beginning Memorial Day weekend and continuing through Labor Day, will be open Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to dusk, weather permitting, and other times by appointment. It is the only such facility in operation on the canal in western Monroe County. Groups such as scouts, youth groups and organizations are welcome by appointment.

Single kayaks, tandem kayaks and canoes are available for rent that are suitable for both the novice and experienced paddler. Each rental includes the boat of your choice, paddle, PFD, basic instruction and assistance in and out of the boat if needed. Rental rates (first hour) are $12 for a single kayak and $15 for a tandem or canoe. Each subsequent quarter hour is $3. There are also rates for half day (four hours) and full day (eight hours) rentals. Payment is cash only at this time. Reservations are welcome but not necessary.

Canaltown Paddlesports is a set up and tear down daily operation, located in front of the public floating dock near the gazebo, in the Village of Spencerport, off Union Street.
