Clover Lanes Sport Classic League

O'Mara sets new standard with 738 set

Brian O'Mara hammered the pins in the Clover Lanes Sport Classic League on Thursday, November 8. In the league's second week on the 42-foot medium volume Sport pattern, O'Mara put together games of 263, 220 and 255. The score is the new high series for the season, eclipsing the 688 total registered on opening night by Scott Terzo.

O'Mara also went the longest in the 30-Clean Frames Jackpot with 16 clean frames.

Mike Rose Jr. got out of the starting gate with 233 and went on to total the second highest total of the evening - 651.

Nick Secours was third high with his 237-648, Ray LeChase II kept his hot hand with 248-645, Mark McClain authored 222-622 and sub Brian Karp prescribed 243-615.

The league, presented by Clover Lanes and LeChase Construction, competes on 4 different oil patterns, one for each 8-week session. The lane condition used is a 3:1 maximum ratio, which simply means that there is just under three times the amount of oil in the center of the lane, as compared to the outside. Typical house conditions vary between 10:1 and 25:1.

Call Chris Lamb at 415-1847 if you'd like to put your name on the sub list.
