Mike Rose Jr. honored for winning
USBC Open Championships All-Events
Mike Rose Jr. of Rochester was presented his United States Bowling Congress Open Championships "Eagle" at the Rochester USBC Bowling Association's Annual Tournament Champions Awards Banquet held at the Crescent Beach Hotel on Sunday, November 4. The right-hander won the All-Events title with a 2198 nine-game total at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno back on May 5 & 6, which earned him the $12,500 top prize. Rose rolled 787 in Singles (7th place in that event and another $3,400), 724 in Doubles and 687 in Team. Making the presentation was John Nevada, long-time director of the former American Bowling Congress.
