Heather Grundke leads Lindenwood women
to collegiate tournament title in Wisconsin
At the 2007 Hammer Midwest Collegiate Tournament October 6 & 7 at AMF Bowlero in Wauwatosa, WI, the Lindenwood University men's and women's teams both picked up titles.
Rochester's Heather Grundke led the Lindenwood Black team to the women's title with her 1807 9-game pinfall (200.78 average). Grundke's total led all women competitors.
Lindenwood edged Robert Morris Gold by just six pins, 10,349-10,343, following the nine team games and ten games of Baker scoring.
Bowling for Robert Morris Gold was another Rochester native, Heather D'Errico, who was second high overall with 1781 (197.89 average).
Lindenwood "A" won the men's division by over 100 pins, 11,097 to second place Purdue's 10,988.
Top men's scorer was William Paterson's Matt O'Grady, who had 2035 (226.22 average).
In all, 40 men's and 22 women's teams participated.
