Hank Baker clips Gary Kinyon in title match, 213-193

In week #6 of the National Bowling Store/Brunswick Senior Shootout at Transit Lanes, Matt Zachowicz was the qualifying leader with his 729 total. Zachowicz had games of 224, 246 and 259, which also earned him this weeks Peerless Workspace Eliminator jackpot.
Don Young finished a close second in both qualifying and in the eliminator with his 255-728.
Four other bowlers broke the 700 mark this week - Jerome Fenderson rolled 260-721, Gary Kinyon posted 246-717, Pat Parisi was close to a triplicate with his 238-711 and Morris Goodloe checked in with 244-700.
Low to qualify this week for the regular cut was 655, Tony Sorrento solidifying the final Super Seniors spot with 243-654.
In the first round of match play, high qualifier Zachowicz received an early exit courtesy of Hank Baker, 217-184.
In the Quarter-Finals, Baker continued on his mission with a, 237-225, win over Goodloe. Also in this round, Fenderson sent Bennetti back to North Tonawanda, 224-217; Kinyon sent Mike OGrady back to Lockport, 221-202; and Sorrento edged Glenn Hauptman, 201-195.
In the Semi-Finals, Baker outslugged Fenderson, 253-233, while Kinyon got past Sorrento, 218-203.
In the Championship Match, Baker took the title with a, 213-193, verdict over Kinyon. It was Bakers first title of the season as he became the 6th winner in as many weeks.
