Just over one year ago, avid scratch bowler Rich Jewell passed away at the young age of 47. Rich's brother, Rick Jewell Sr., has put together a handicap mixed doubles tournament in Rich's memory.

The inaugural Richard Jewell Memorial Easter Mixed Doubles Tourna-ment will take place at Clover Lanes on Saturday, April 19. There is a $400 guaranteed first place prize. The event is being sponsored by Lyell Donuts and Recco Jewell.

The cost to enter is $60 per team and $7.25 of each entry will be donated to the St. Augustine Children's Center.

There is also a Bonus Singles Event with separate divisions for men and women. The optional event is $10 to enter.

Squad times are 11:30am, 1:30pm, 3:30pm and 6:30pm. The format is three games with handicap and the team with the highest total will be crowned champions.

The handicap is 80% of 420 with no minus pins. Bowlers may enter all four squads and may cash multiple times, but only once with the same partner.
